Ultra Ultra High Performance according to Goodyear

Not one, not two but three new semi-slick tyres for Goodyear! The American tyre manufacturer has just announced its new range of sports tyres featuring innovative technologies to achieve the best lap times without compromising driving pleasure. The UUHP Eagle F1 SuperSport tyres want to push the performances of the most powerful cars to the limit on the road and track.

Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport, a sporty spirit for the road

With the Eagle F1 SuperSport, Goodyear proposes a sports tyre providing superior grip and handling performances. The central blocks of the tread ensure the tyre delivers responsive directional changes. Blocks on the tyre’s shoulder area provide control during sudden load transfers when cornering.

Although primarily developed for dry roads, the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport does not forget wet road performance. The American tyre manufacturer has developed a multi-compound combination for its tyre. As such, three central segments are optimised to guarantee performances and safety in wet conditions whereas the outer sections are optimised for dry roads. This allows the driver to push his vehicle harder through corners on dry roads while ensuring exceptional wet braking and wet handling performance.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport UUHP sport tyre will be introduced in 25 sizes for 18 to 21 inch rim diameters between February and May 2019. It is intended for vehicles such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI, the BMW M3, Mercedes-AMG C63 and the Porsche 911 Turbo.

Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport R, performance above all

The Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport R affirms its sporty performance a bit more. Although it remains a road tyre, its levels of grip and precision make it a perfect tyre for the track. Thanks to its high-friction compound, it delivers an exceptional level of dry grip. “Bridges” of rubber in the grooves ensure excellent stability while reducing tread block deformation when cornering at high speed. The tyre’s footprint has also been optimised for a better transfer of engine power to the ground, improving steering precision and feedback at the same time.

Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RS, radical performances for the track

With its Eagle F1 SuperSport RS, Goodyear wants to take the sportiness of its tyres even further. According to the American tyre manufacturer, it is the best product for the track while remaining road legal. The rubber compound, based on what is used in motorsports, allows it to deliver ultimate grip and performance levels in dry conditions. It will be available in March 2019 in 2 sizes: 265/35 ZR20 and 325/30 ZR21, which correspond to the sizes for a vehicle such as the Porsche 911 GT2 RS for example.
