A technology now available for SUVs

By announcing the Powerproof and Wetproof summer tyres just a year ago, Nokian Tyres wanted to prove itself in the summer tyre segment. More accustomed to proposing high performance winter tyres, the Finnish brand has shown all of its expertise with these two tyres. Today, Nokian wants to continue the development of its summer ranges by proposing the Powerproof and Wetproof versions for SUVs. While keeping the flagship technologies used for the passenger car versions, Nokian has fine-tuned its products for heavier, more powerful vehicles

Nokian Powerproof SUV, comfort and safety above all

Created in collaboration with Finnish Mika Hakkinen, the Formula 1 legend, the Nokian Powerproof UHP summer tyre is designed for a wide range of high performance vehicles. Its SUV version promises drivers of heavy vehicles peace of mind when braking and driving at high speed. Its many technologies based on the original tyre are completed with sidewalls reinforced with strong aramid fibre. The tyres are therefore more resistant to impacts and cuts offering the Nokian tyre maximum durability.

Nokian Wetproof SUV, at ease on dry and wet surfaces

Versatile in its use, the Nokian Wetproof is also available for SUVs and Crossovers. Capable of high performance in different weather conditions, the main aim of this tyre is to prevent any risk of aquaplaning. Thanks to its latest generation technologies such as the “Wet Safety Zone” on the inside tread, it is capable of delivering a high level of grip, particularly on wet surfaces. Nokian has also developed the “Aqua Hybrid” compound technology especially for the SUV version. This new generation rubber compound offers a superior level of wet grip - a criteria where this tyre obtains an A-rating on the EU tyre label - while reducing the rolling resistance.
