What is the difference between 91v and 91 h?

Question from visitor, 04/08/2015 :What is the difference between 91v and 91 h?
Answer by rezulteo, 04/08/2015 :

Thank you for your question.

The letter is the speed index. It indicated the maximum speed rating of the tyre. V is approximately 149 mph (240 km/h) and H is approximately 130 mph (210 km/h). The speed rating must be the same or higher than the original tyre.
