Question from visitor, 04/08/2015 :

What is the difference between 91v and 91 h?

Answer by rezulteo, 04/08/2015 :

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

The letter is the speed rating. It indicates the maximum speed of the tyre. V tyres have a top speed of approximately 149 mph (240 km/h) and H tyres, approximately 130 mph (210 km/h). When changing tyres you should always check that the speed rating of the new tyre is the same as or higher than that of the original tyres.

For more information, read our articles Can I change my tyre size and How to decode the markings on a tyre.

If you need any further help or explanations, please don’t hesitate to send us another request.

Happy driving,

The rezulteo team
