Product description
A 4x4 tyre suitable for both on-road and off-road (30%) use, the Continental CrossContact ATR provides good off-road traction and wet braking performance.
Off-road. Continental’s “TractionPlus” technology features multiple grooves and grip teeth to deliver good off-road traction. Solid tread blocks and the rapid ejection of stones ensure high damage resistance when driving off-road.
Safety. For a safer drive in rainy conditions, the large tread blocks, sipes, silica and polymers added to the tread compound improve wet grip and shorten braking distances.
Comfort. Small bars between the shoulder blocks reduce interior noise levels.
CONTINENTAL CROSSCONTACT ATR: LONG LIVE DIVERSITY!
Continental has redesigned the all-terrain SUV tyre for on- and off-road driving. The CrossContact ATR features a tread pattern capable of driving over stony tracks and on the asphalt of city streets.
Tyre for towns, tyre for fields
The German tyre manufacturer’s SUV tyre is an invitation for off-road fans. Despite its focus being on its on-road performances, venturing off-road onto rough ground is not forgotten in the design of the CrossContact ATR.
Quieter for increased ride comfort
Available in 6 diameters for 15 to 20 inch rims and in several widths, the Continental CrossContact is all about comfort and performance. Its tread, mainly designed for the road, improves the tyre's acoustic performance (three waves on the EU tyre label) both inside and outside the passenger compartment. Its new noise bars placed in the tyre shoulder act as a noise barrier, reducing the noise generated by the tread as it rolls over the asphalt.
A 30% off-road tyre
Designed for 70 percent on road use, this tyre can also be used 30 percent off-road. The CrossContact ATR demonstrates its on-road qualities thanks to grooves and ribs that grip the ground. Effectively, the manufacturer has focused on a large number of sipes that promote grip when accelerating. Its off-road performances are mainly highlighted by a rubber compound that rapidly ejects the stones that get trapped in the grooves of the tread. This same chemistry also gives the tyre a stronger resistance to cuts and damage, typical when driving along rough tracks.
What is the rezulteo score?
The rezulteo score is calculated considering three performance categories: economy, comfort and safety. When it comes to winter tyres, the performance criteria snow and ice are added. By weighting different basic performance criteria an overall score is determined. This weighting is calculated based on the tyre size category: economic, high performance or sports.
