An Ultra High Performance all-season tyre

Vredestein is strengthening its all-season tyre offer to cater for as many consumers as possible. Accustomed to this fast developing segment for some years now with its Quatrac range, the tyre manufacturer is now addressing a type of vehicle it knows well: the Ultra High Performance vehicle. It is with the launch of the new Quatrac Pro all-season tyre that Vredestein intends to do it. And, the brand has come up trumps. It is the only all-season tyre available for 17 to 21 inch rim diameters in Europe. Specially designed for top-end vehicles such as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Volvo XC90 or the BMW 5-Series, this ambitious new tyre can be used throughout the year

High performance with Vredestein’s expertise

With the Quatrac Pro, Vredestein wants to offer high performance to drivers of powerful cars and who do not want to change their tyres each season. The new tyre offers good handling and short braking distances in all circumstances. It guarantees a high level of safety even when weather conditions change unexpectedly. It provides 10% more grip in wet conditions than the Vredestein Quatrac 5 and snow handling is 5% better.

If the tyre manufacturer has managed to reach such a high level of performance, it is mainly thanks to new technologies. The longitudinal grooves of the Quatrac Pro combined with lateral grooves at the shoulder optimise the evacuation of water and improve safety in wet conditions, even at high speed. The tread pattern is wider to guarantee better handling and optimum control, in line with what is required for a high performance vehicle.

The tread compound has been developed to remain flexible at low temperatures. The advanced compound has a high silica and resin content which provides good grip on wet and snow-covered roads while ensuring an even pressure distribution across the footprint. The tyre’s different summer and winter characteristics ensure a high level of performance throughout the year. This is why the Quatrac Pro carries the snowflake symbol (3PMSF) on its sidewall.

The Vredestein Quatrac Pro all-season tyre will be available from 1st April 2019 in 50 sizes for 17- to 21 inch rim diameters. Fourteen of these sizes will be unique in the all-season tyre segment, including the 315/35 R20 which can be fitted on the rear axle of a BMW X5.

However, Vredestein has not abandoned its other Quatrac 5 all-season tyre which, according to the manufacturer, remains the ideal tyre for 16 inch rim diameters or less.
