Longevity. The EfficientGrip Performance 2 tyre provides 50% more miles than its predecessor. The Mileage Plus technology offers a more flexible tread which reduces wear due to rough road conditions.

Safety. Braking distances are shorter on wet roads with Goodyear’s Wet Braking technology, multiple long biting edges which, combined with the flexible rubber, accelerate the flow of water.

Handling. Handling is improved by the Goodyear Dry Stability technology, wide longitudinal ribs which increase the area in contact with the road for better cornering stability.

The development of new technologies by Goodyear has improved the performance of summer tyres, particularly the more flexible tread that extends the tyre’s service life.

Goodyear commissioned the independent test organisation TÜV SÜD who demonstrated the high longevity of the EfficientGrip Performance 2 summer tyre. This high mileage tyre could please drivers who wish to move towards sustainable mobility and make savings.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 test: 1st for braking

TÜV SÜD is an organisation which ensures added value for tested products which obtain the label. Independent tests have also evaluated the EfficientGrip Performance 2 for its braking performances. Braking distances are shorter on wet and dry roads than the other tested competitor’s tyres.

Once again, Goodyear has worked on summer tyre technology to obtain optimum braking performance: the three ribs at the centre of the tread are wider to provide a larger contact surface with dry roads. Flexible tread blocks and longer edges facilitate the evacuation of water on wet roads.

Available tyre sizes

Just like the 1st generation EfficientGrip Performance summer tyre, it is available in 45 sizes for city cars, MPVs, SUVs and passenger cars. Tyre sizes are suitable for 15-inch to 18-inch rim diameters.
