A new tyre built for winter

Subsidiary of the American tyre giant Goodyear, Debica is moving into the SUV market. The Polish tyre manufacturer has launched its Frigo SUV2 winter tyre which delivers strong performance in all winter conditions.

The tread design has been optimised for use on SUVs. Multi-directional, it features multiple edges and sipes that dig into the snow to provide extra grip on this surface. Its wider footprint offers a larger contact area with the road which improves braking performance, particularly on icy surfaces, according to Debica.

The centre of the V-shaped tread has been developed to quickly disperse excess water between the tyre and the road, which results in a higher resistance to aquaplaning. The tyre construction has also been redesigned by Debica who announce a lower rolling resistance due to reduced energy losses.

“When our engineers created the Debica Frigo SUV2, we purposely designed it to deliver strong performance at a reasonable price”, said Piotr Nagalski, Marketing Director for Debica Europe. “Drivers now have a tyre which excels in all winter conditions while being friendly to the wallet.”

The Debica Frigo SUV2 joins the brand’s winter range which includes the Frigo 2 and Frigo HP2 tyres. This new SUV tyre will be available in 3 popular sizes:

235/65 R17 108 H XL, 225/65 R17 106 H XL and 215/60 R17 96 H. 3 additional sizes will be available for purchase in the coming months: 225/60 R17 103 V XL, 235/60 R18 107 H XL and 255/55 R18 109 H XL.
