Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO: a tyre that grips all year round
The new Bridgestone all-season tyre will be available in July! It succeeds the Weather Control A005 and features innovative technology, enhanced snow and wet performances certified by the 3PMSF marking and the A-rating on the European tyre label. For what uses and what types of car has this all-season tyre been engineered for?
Tyre rated A for wet grip
When you buy an all-season tyre, you want it to deliver optimum safety in wet, dry and snowy conditions. The new Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO could be the answer to this no-compromise performance requirement. It will replace the Weather Control A005 all-season tyre, its predecessor.
This new touring tyre has obtained the highest A-rating on the European tyre label for its wet grip performance, and a B or C rating (depending on the tyre size) for rolling resistance.
Equally suitable for driving about town or in the country, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO is designed to be used in all weather conditions.
All-season tyre for snow
For the new version of its all-season tyre, Bridgestone has wanted to improve its potential on snow. To enhance its performance, the Japanese tyre manufacturer has used the NanoPro-tech compound technology for its tread. High silica is added to the new compound to improve the dispersion of silica in the rubber. Also, the V-shaped tread and the Z-shaped sipes combined with the new compound formula delivers:
- excellent energy efficiency (longer life, reduced rolling resistance)
- enhanced traction and grip on snow
- shorter braking distance in snowy conditions
- cornering stability
The Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO all-season tyre is certified by the 3PMSF marking that can also be found on winter tyres. It certifies its real performances for use on snow-covered roads.
What tyre sizes are available?
The Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO all-season tyre will be available as of July 2020 in 94 different sizes (15- to 21-inch rims). It will be suitable for passenger cars and on road SUVs. Eight tyre sizes will feature the DriveGuard runflat technology.
