At the Paris Motor Show 2016, Michelin has just presented the Pilot Sport 4 S. In the Pilot Sport range it falls between the recent PS4 and the PSCup 2, designed for a more radical use. Consequently, its use will be based on the positioning of the tyre it replaces, the PSS, and will therefore be half-way between the 2 aforementioned tyres.

What changes?

What we know about this newly introduced tyre is that it uses solutions that already existed for its predecessor but with Michelin's latest technologies. Like the “Bi-compound tread” with two different compounds for the tyre footprint, making it ideal in all situations (dry surfaces, wet surfaces...).  The rubber compound and structure incorporate Michelin’s latest technologies.

For what vehicles?

In direct competition with the Continental SportContact 6, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S is designed for high performance vehicles with mainly a sporty use (Ferrari, Porsche, etc.).
