Long-term commitment

Although the contract between Hankook and DTM (German Touring Car Championship) is still running, the tyre manufacturer and DTM marketer have signed a new partnership deal for the next four years. This contract, which will run through to 2023, sees Hankook Tire become the longest-standing tyre supplier in the history of the German Touring Car Championship. Indeed, the South Korean tyre manufacturer is official partner of the DTM since 2011.

“We are pleased to have once again been selected as the official, exclusive supplier to the most popular international touring car series in the world. With its international platform, the DTM offers us the opportunity to continuously demonstrate our established technological know-how and to strengthen our global presence in motorsport”, said Hyun Bum Cho, President & CEO of Hankook Tire.

For several years now, Hankook supports top sports events such as the 24 Hour Series, the W Series championship, Eurocup Formula Renault, 24 Hour Nürburgring, the F3 Americas and the CJ Super Race. It is mainly thank to its Ventus Race tyre line that Hankook has established itself as one of the key players in motorsports, and national and international rallies.
