Power above all

Although the new version of the Mégane R.S. was launched at the beginning of 2018, a Trophy version of Renault’s hot hatch is already available. As is customary for the French manufacturer, this model is even more powerful. With its 1.8 litre turbo engine, the Megane R.S. Trophy passes the symbolic barrier of 300 hp, a first for the Renault sports range. An innovation that allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5.7 seconds.

Tyres tailored for the vehicle’s power

The new Megane R.S. Trophy can be recognised from a distance thanks to its 19 inch diameter rims. Bridgestone has signed an exclusive agreement to equip Renault’s hot hatch with tyres from its Potenza range. It will be fitted with Potenza S001 tyres which have been specially optimised for the vehicle as standard. The outside blocks are larger to improve dry handling performances whereas smaller blocks on the centre of the tread improve performances in wet conditions.

Available in 2019, the Megane R.S. Trophy will also have the option to fit Bridgestone Potenza S007 tyres. Sportier, they have been optimised to deliver a high level of handling performances. The two Bridgestone tyres will have the R.S. logo marked on their sidewall indicating they are approved as original equipment.
