4x4 winter tyre developed for the latest SUVs, the Fulda Kristall Control SUV provides excellent control on dry and snow covered roads.

Winter. High traction even in deep snow thanks to Fulda’s Snow Catcher technology that uses the natural compression of the tread to trap snow.

Handling. Stable and controlled handling despite the high centre of gravity of SUVs thanks to humps between the centre blocks and the “3D Bubble Blades” technology that stiffen blocks.

Savings. The special tread compound is designed to prevent energy loss and the low-weight internal construction reduces fuel consumption. The even distribution of pressure across the contact area results in even wear and a higher mileage potential.

KRISTALL CONTROL SUV: HIGH PERFORMANCE IN TOUGH CONDITIONS

According to Fulda, the Kristall Control SUV delivers excellent winter performance thanks to its “SnowCatcher” technology.  The centre grooves of the tyre are designed to “catch” snow to provide a high level of traction and excellent control on snow covered roads.

The tyre has stiffeners on the centre blocks of the tread to increase rigidity and ensure the stability of SUVs on dry roads.

Fulda has used its “3D Bubble Blades” technology combined with long sipes on the tread surface to increase the rubber volume in contact with the road and provide improved control when driving on dry winter roads.

These sipes are designed to provide an optimised footprint with uniform pressure distribution to prevent uneven wear and increase mileage performance. According to Fulda, the lighter weight construction of the tyre also plays a part by lowering rolling resistance.

The results can be seen on the EU tyre label where the Kristall Control SUV achieves B and C ratings for rolling resistance, depending on the tyre size. The tyre is rated C for wet grip in all sizes.
